Join us for a special fireside chat with Lisa Wang, founder and CEO of <a href="https://www.almostfun.org/about" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Almost Fun</a>. Almost Fun is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers marginalized students with culturally-responsive learning resources. You will hear about her journey: from graduation from Harvard to working as a product manager at Google Classroom and Google Maps to starting Almost Fun. Lisa will share how Almost Fun has grown and changed, her view of social entrepreneurship, and her lessons and advice. Attendees will have a chance to ask questions and learn about Lisa’s biggest challenges and learnings. This event is open to technologists, future founders, activists, students and anyone interested in educational equity and tech for social good.Speaker:Lisa WangFounder and CEO of Almost FunEx-GooglerLisa Wang is the founder and CEO of Almost Fun, an edtech non-profit dedicated to helping students unlock joy, confidence, and opportunity through learning math. Over the last 3 years, Almost Fun has supported over 2 million 4th-12th grade students in their math learning through digital resources designed to engage and inspire. Lisa is a 2022 GLG Social Impact Fellow, a 2022 Edwin Gould Foundation Fellow, a 2020 AT&T Aspire Fellow, and a member of Gina’s Collective and Fast Forward’s 2019 cohort. She received her B.A. in Math and Computer Science from Harvard. Prior to Almost Fun, Lisa was a product manager on Google Classroom, building tools for over 60 million teachers and students.
